Associate membership is £9, for those who belong to another u3a to which they pay a full membership fee.

Gift Aid Notes

Please note the contents 1- 6 below are based on the Charity Commission notes.
1) You must pay an amount of income tax and /or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that
Eastbourne Meads u3a reclaims on your subscription in the year (currently 25p for each £1 you pay
or as defined).
2) You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the Treasurer of Eastbourne Meads u3a.
3) If, in the future, your circumstances change and you no longer pay tax on your income and capital
gains equal to the tax that Eastbourne Meads u3a reclaims, you can cancel your declaration.
(See note 2).
4) If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief on your Self Assessment Tax
return.
5) If you are unsure whether your subscriptions qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, ask the Treasurer of
