Open Coffee Morning

 
It was good to see so many people coming to investigate what we have on offer at the
Eastbourne Meads u3a Coffee Morning. Representatives from
around thirty groups were on hand to answer questions and to explain what their respective
groups are doing.  While some groups are already full with waiting lists, there were still
plenty of opportunities for Eastbourne Meads u3a members – prospective, new and old – to
find some fresh interests or challenges.  For the Group Leaders, it was encouraging to see
so much interest and enthusiasm.  
 
There was also the opportunity to meet members of the Committee who were on hand to
greet everyone, to answer any questions and to listen to any suggestions and ideas.  Free
tea and coffee were available throughout the morning and there was a plentiful supply of
cakes to keep everyone going.  Feedback from all quarters has been very positive, so
perhaps the Open Coffee Morning will be a regular annual feature.
