Barn, Folk and Country Dancing

Status:Active, open to new members
Leader:
When: On Wednesday afternoons 2:00 pm
Venue: Meads Hall

Barn Dancing is a combination of Folk, Country and Square dancing. As has been stated by many physicians 'the best way of keeping fit is dancing, benefiting both physical and mental wellbeing'.
Our friendly Group aims to plan the dancing to the needs and abilities of our dancers.
To help those unfamiliar to barn dancing we aim to introduce the more common steps and set formations in the first 4 sessions of our year which starts on Wednesday September 3rd 2-4pm (doors open 1.45pm) in the Mead's Hall (Mead's Street entrance). We continue dancing every week until next Easter with only a short break in December. We have a refreshment break during the afternoon's dancing which is included in the sub which is only £3 a session attended. No partner nor prior experience needed.
So why not come along and try us out?
Contact Colin Broome to register your interest and we will look forward to seeing you.

Please Note

Eastbourne Barn Dance Club is an independent, privately run club and not a u3a group. Its sessions are attended by both u3a and non-u3a members. The u3a Barn Dance interest groups simply join in with the Eastbourne Barn Dance Club sessions at Meads Hall as a way for members to dance and socialise. While the interest groups bring u3a members together around a shared activity, u3a does not run or oversee Eastbourne Barn Dance Club, which operates separately.
